Jon Lind dead: Legendary songwriter who worked with Madonna dies after 2-year cancer struggle

Jon Lind, a legendary songwriter and music executive, has died aged 72 following a two-year struggle with cancer.

He died on Saturday, his attorney Jeremy Rosen confirmed to Variety.

Since his career began in the 1960s as a folk singer, he has worked with a number of huge names in the industry - from Madonna to Earth, Wind and Fire.
