Did 'Joker: Folie a Deux' star Joaquin Phoenix SCOLD co-star Lady Gaga to stand as audience applauded her at Venice Film Festival?: Viral Video

Todd Phillips' film 'Joker: Folie a Deux', received a standing ovation at the 81st Venice International Film Festival. It was a moment of pride for the ace director and the film lead stars, Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, who brought the audience to their feet after the film's grand premiere.

Besides videos of the trio's incredible 10.5-minute standing ovation at the festival, it was another clip from before the screening that is going viral online and leaving fans in splits.

A viral video in question, captures a rather interesting moment between 'Joker: Folie a Deux' co-stars, where Phoenix appeared to be baffled by Gaga for not standing as the audience gave a round of applause when her name was announced.

In the clip, the audience at the premiere is seen erupting in applause prompting Phoenix to motion Gaga to stand. As the actor's voice seemed to have got doused in the applause, the singer reacted to Joaquin by laughing. However, when he appeared confused, she was seen nodding at him and standing up to wave at the audience.

The moment quickly gained traction on social media, with fans sharing the clip and laughing out loud saying, "PLSSSS THIS IS SO UNSERIOUS!"

Another reacted saying, "It's so funny, Lady Gaga laughing with Joaquin Phoenix after her name is called and Joaquin telling her to get up."

The film, 'Joker: Folie a Deux', serves as a follow-up to the critically acclaimed 2019 'Joker', in which Phoenix played the titular character. The sequel, which introduces Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, has been eagerly awaited by fans.

The first 'Joker' was a huge success, both critically and commercially. It was nominated for 11 Oscars, with Joaquin Phoenix winning Best Actor and Hildur Gudnadottir winning for Original Score. It became the highest-grossing R-rated movie ever, earning over 1 billion dollars at the worldwide box office.

'Joker: Folie a Deux' releases in theatres in India on October 2, exactly 5 years after the first film was released.
