Joint US-Iraq Operation Kills 15 ISIS Members In Western Iraq

U.S. special operation team takes part in the annual joint military drills with South Korea

An operation conducted by American and Iraqi forces resulted in the successful elimination of 15 members of the Islamic State group in western Iraq. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the operation, stating that on Thursday, Aug. 29, U.S. and Iraqi forces engaged and neutralized the ISIS operatives.

According to CENTCOM, the ISIS members were found to be armed with a significant arsenal, including weapons, grenades, and explosive 'suicide' belts. Despite the intensity of the operation, no civilian casualties were reported.
