The Egyptian and Jordanian armed forces kicked off the Aqaba 7 military drill in Egypt's Southern Military District.
Aqaba 7 will be held through November 9 with the participation of the Egyptian and Jordanian maritime, ground, and Special Forces, said the Egyptian military spokesman.
The first phase included several practical and theoretical lectures to get acquainted with the military techniques and expertise and to unify concepts among participants.
The spokesperson said the drill is one of the most essential exercises held between the two countries. It helps strengthen the capabilities and readiness of the forces in coordinating and executing plans.
The exercise is held in continuation of a series of joint drills between the two countries' armed forces to boost military cooperation.
