Jennifer Scott, committee member of the theatre group, said: “This is our first proper show post Covid and we are back in the Town Hall as it has happened up to the community again. The show is looking good so far and doing what we can as Covid is still affecting rehearsals at times, but we are just working our way through.”

The panto group have had to work around covid when getting their plays ready and have even had to perform at Old Johnstone Baptist Church after Johnstone’s Town Hall was used as a vaccination centre.

Now, with restrictions eased, the group can get back on their feet - and on the stage - at their normal location and the cast have been working hard in rehearsals.

The cast have hired the new Station Seven which used to be the old Johnstone Police Station and is now a health and community-hub to get themselves primed and ready for the festive season.

Jennifer added: “We want to give back to the community - we are really hoping, as it is our first show back, it will be a huge success. Obviously we are all very excited to be back. Rehearsals are going well and we finally have a full cast. We are doing full cast rehearsals on Tuesday and on October 9, we start our Sunday rehearsals. We are very busy, but it will be worth it in the end.”

The group urges those wanting to attend the show to book their tickets quickly to avoid disappointment.
