Johnny Vegas' cheeky response to 'in bother' photographer

Comedian Johnny Vegas gave a tongue-in-cheek response to a generous "in bother" Liverpool photographer.

Posting on Twitter on Monday (January 23), Johnny, from St Helens, shared three pictures of himself at Crosby beach as he called the location his "favourite thinking spot". It comes days after another tweet, where the 52-year-old appeared to have a lot on his mind as he paid homage to the shore.

He captioned the post, as he wrote: "So the tide came in and said 'Hey soft lad, give us all those worries over everything and nothing and I'll take 'em back out with me'. As ever, thank you Crosby. It's been a busy day for a big daft busy head but all grand now x".

The newest post showed off three mugs he received from local photographer, Sarah Taylor, after she asked if they arrived at his home in once piece. The mugs contain three different pictures of Antony Gormley's Another Place cast iron figures.

But Johnny said Sarah was "in bother" as she generously sent him three mugs instead of one.

The tweet read: "Got them and one's already been on an outing Sarah! You're in bother though. I ordered one & you sent three!

"Way too generous of you but they've found a good home. When I can't get to my favourite thinking spot Crosby Beach can come to me with a cup of tea loving your work & pics x Cheers."

Sarah Taylor said she was "gobsmacked" when Johnny responded to her tweet and put up a picture of him using her mugs (www.facebook.com/sarahphotoart)

Sarah, 52, from Waterloo, said she was "gobsmacked" when Johnny responded to her tweet and put up a picture of him using her mugs.

She told The ECHO: "We all love Johnny Vegas in this house, and I can't believe he did such an amazing and lovely thing. I think it just shows how genuine and kind he is.

"He messaged after I posted a picture of me holding one of the mugs having a cup of tea. He said he really liked the mugs and would like to buy one.

"I mean, of course I didn't send him just one - I sent three over. It meant the world to me as the pictures are ones I have taken on the beach. It brightened up a really horrible January day."
