American singer-songwriter Johnny Stimson will be in town for his first gig in Bangkok at Lido Connect Hall 3, Rama I Road, on Dec 9 at 8pm.
Presented by Live Nation Tero, the show will bring audiences to explore the feeling of love and loss, joy and sorrow, nostalgia and growing up, all rendered into his beautiful songs.
The 33-year-old artist is best known for his single Holding On which broke a Shazam record for an unsigned artist in the UK in 2015.
Unlike most artists who started local and built up their name from there, Stimson gained international recognition early on, with nods of approval from artists like BTS, Elton John, Tori Killy, Aespa, The Boyz and many others.
He blends a soulful rasp with a modern pop sensibility to create melodies that make a little home in your heart. Sprinkled with R&B overtones and a classic singer-songwriter sensitivity, he aims to spread love through his music.
His songs have been featured in many American TV series and advertisements, including Vampire Diaries, The Flash, Trophy Wife and The Fosters.
Last year, he released two critically-acclaimed albums -- Butterflies in January and Flower later in November which went double-platinum in Korea. This year, he started releasing songs from his next project Johnny's World and touring around the world.
The upcoming concert is part of his Asia tour which will include stops in Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, Singapore and Vietnam.
