John Travolta pays emotional tribute to late wife Kelly Preston on Mother’s Day

John Travolta has remembered late wife Kelly Preston in a touching social media tribute to mark Mother’s Day in the US.

Taking to Instagram, the Grease actor shared a video montage featuring a series of cherished images of them together.

Set to Barbra Streisand’s 2011 song Nice ‘n Easy, the clip also included snaps of the couple with their children, Ella, 22, Benjamin, 10, and their late son Jett.

“We love and miss you Kelly. Happy Mother’s Day,” the Pulp Fiction star, 68, captioned the post followed by a flower bouquet and red heart emoji.

Preston died on 12 July 2020 at the age of 57, two years after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Following her passing, a representative for the family told People magazine the Twins actress chose to keep her diagnosis “private” and had been undergoing medical treatment “for some time”.

A week later, Travolta wrote: “She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many.

“My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Centre, all the medical centres that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side.

“Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered.”

Travolta and Preseton wed in 1991 and they were married for 28 years at the time of Preston’s death.

Their eldest son Jett died at the age of 16 in 2009 while on a family holiday in the Bahamas.

The youngster suffered a seizure after hitting his head on a bathtub.
