John Souttar believes starring regularly on the European stage for Rangers will boost his chances of becoming a Scotland mainstay.
The new Ibrox defender hopes to continuing adding to his cap haul under Steve Clarke.
Souttar - who officially joined today signing a pre-contract from Hearts - bagged his first international goal in the win over Denmark late last year.

He is desperate to reach the World Cup finals and hopes to be involved against Ukraine at Hampden in the play-off semi-final later tonight.
Speaking to the Rangers website, he said: "To be involved in any capacity with Scotland at the minute is fantastic.
"There is a good atmosphere around the whole camp and to be involved with those games would be brilliant.

"I want to get to the World Cup and I think everyone in the country does.
"I know all the boys and myself will be doing everything we can to achieve that."
Playing European football regularly with Rangers will allow Souttar to test himself at a high level for his club side and he hopes that will further boost his chances of a regular Scotland start.
He continued: "Coming to a big club like Rangers, it gives you that opportunity to play in Europe and to play at a high level and hopefully, by doing that, it will make me a mainstay for the national team."
