The best candidates to get a franchise tag from Seattle this year include free safety Quandre Diggs, cornerback D.J. Reed and left tackle Duane Brown, all of whom coach Pete Carroll says the team wants to re-sign.
Running back Rashaad Penny is another possibility and Carroll admitted that it may be a challenge to keep him given how well he played down the stretch of the 2021 season.
