John Pye Auctions opens new Nottingham saleroom

John Pye Auctions is set to open another saleroom at its Nottingham headquarters, to help meet growing demand.

The new 14,450 sq ft auction room at its Radford Road HQ will be the biggest yet for the business as it continues to grow its network at both a local and national level.

The expansion comes off the back of a successful past year for the firm, which saw strong post-pandemic sales help the auction house report an 18 per cent increase in turnover.

Mike Vitale, associate director and Nottingham site manager said: “We’re pleased to be adding further sales capacity and space for our dedicated customers.

“This new space will be underground allowing us to store even more stock to keep up with the ever-growing demand for our auctions.

“The new saleroom will be open from April 27 for buyers to bid on branded homeware stock, including household names such as Le Creuset and Kitchen Craft.”

Customers will be able to access the new site next to the current saleroom, with online bidding running as normal alongside this latest physical offering.

John Pye holds more than 2,000 auctions a year and has been trading for 50 years. It regularly works on behalf of UK banks, finance houses, government authorities, insolvency practitioners, property agents and big retail groups.
