Kelty Hearts are set to name John Potter their new manager.
The League One newcomers have been on the lookout for a new manager since Kevin Thomson walked away.
They have been assessing their options and the Queen's Park coach has won the race.
Kelty are hoping to finalise a deal when the former Hibs, St Mirren and Sunderland No. 2 returns from his summer break.
Potter’s previous managerial stint was also in Fife back with rivals Dunfermline Athletic back in 2014-15.
Potter had been helping Queen’s Park before Owen Coyle was appointed and the Spiders were keen to keep him for their Championship return.
He has an impressive coaching pedigree having worked closely with Jack Ross in recent jobs.
The New Central Park club are keen to keep progressing through the leagues after winning the bottom tier in their first season up.
Thomson led them to the title and to a decent Scottish Cup run that saw them knock out holders St Johnstone.
