John Mellencamp's daughter Teddi Mellencamp is battling stage four melanoma

John Mellencamp wants his daughter Teddi Mellencamp to "move back to Indiana" amid her battle with stage four melanoma.

The 74-year-old singer lives in Bloomington, Indiana, and he wished Teddi - who was diagnosed with stage two melanoma in 2022, and revealed in April 2025 that the serious type of skin cancer was at stage four - would move from the West Coast to the Midwest so he can see her more often.
