John McGinn admits he's delighted to get on the scoresheet for Scotland again as Steve Clarke's side saw off Cyprus.
The Aston Villa man, who was reminded he has gone over forty games without a goal at Villa Park, was on hand to volley across Andy Robertson's delivery to open the scoring at Hampden. It was a sticky second half before Manchester United star Scott McTominay bagged a late brace to make it three points and three goals for the Scots.
And the uber-popular McGinn insists it is a dream come true to be mentioned in the same category as Scotland record breakers such as Kenny Miller and James McFadden but that he'll leave the reflection on his landmarks 'for the hoose'.

He said when quizzed on breaking records: "In the hoose, I'll be looking up. But when I'm here I'm focused on getting Scotland to the EUROs.
"I do have my eye on it [record]. Of course you can dream about joining those guys at the top. Honestly don't mind if I don't get there the main goal is to get the team to Germany."
He added: "He's somebody I watched growing up [McFadden]. I wanted to be him when I was a Scotland fan growing up. It's a bit weird, but I'm delighted.
"I've gone 46 games without a goal for Villa which is eating away at me and decide to score after 20 for Scotland so when I get back down to Birmingham I'll be getting reminders of that.
"I've had opportunities down the road, just haven't taken them."
