John Lundstram reveals Rangers dressing-room words and says Celtic Hampden error 'just can't happen'

John Lundstram has revealed Rangers had words in the dressing-room after another defeat to Celtic at Hampden.

The Light Blues were punished for a lapse in concentration as Daizen Maeda and Jota punished Michael Beale's men at a crucial moment in the game. The Hoops attacking duo remained switched on as the Japan international picked out his Portuguese team-mate to head beyond Allan McGregor and send his side into the Scottish Cup Final.

Defeat at the national stadium means Rangers will finish the season without a trophy as Celtic look very strong favourites to now go on and complete a domestic Treble. Lundstram admits it was that key error that is 'so disappointing' and switching off like that just can't happen. The midfielder admits Rangers CAN'T have another season like this campaign going into the new season while he confessed words were said in the dressing room - but would not go into detail of what was aired following the 1-0 defeat to Celtic.

He said: "We're obviously very disappointed. We played really well for large spells. But when we got to the final pass, that last bit of quality wasn't there and at the other end mistakes let us down again.

"We switched off at the goal and that just can't happen. The ball's still in play and the ref hasn't blown his whistle. We've got to play to the whistle.

"It's our mistake again and that's what's so disappointing.

"Of course, it's frustrating for us. It's frustrating for everyone, but going forward into next season we've really got to nail it down because we can't have another season like this season.

"We all want to win, but the decision-making at times has got to be better. It's let us down, not just today but on numerous occasions. All the lads have got to rally round and have a big push now for the start of the new season.

"We've spoken in the dressing room and we're obviously going to keep that in-house, but of course the lads aren't happy."
