John Lewis and partner brand Waitrose are looking to hire thousands of temporary staff to work in their stores over the busy festive period.
The Mirror reports John Lewis and Partners are looking for 10,000 new temporary staff members across the country to work in their stores over Christmas, including in the flagship store in Liverpool ONE. Waitrose, owned by John Lewis, is also looking for staff over the period, as are the companies' distribution networks.
The positions going include seasonal roles, as well as temporary roles with some permanent positions to be advertised also. The thousands of jobs will go live in September and October, with the first lot going up on Wednesday (September 8) this week.

All employees, referred to as 'partners,' who join for the festive period at both John Lewis and Waitrose will be entitled to free meals while on shift, available at the stores' dedicated staff dining rooms.
