John Kennedy has been installed as the bookies' favourite to be the next Hibs manager.
Shaun Maloney was sacked earlier today after the Hibees' Scottish Cup semi-final defeat to Hearts at the weekend.
Attention has already turned to who will be Maloney 's successor at Easter Road,
And Celtic coach Kennedy is top of the bookmakers' list to be Ron Gordon's choice.
The former Scotland defender has previously been linked with a move to Leith, but remained part of the Parkhead coaching staff after Ange Postecoglou replaced another former Hibs boss in Neil Lennon.
Former Hibs chief executive was reportedly a fan of Kennedy and he was touted as a possible Queen's Park boss after Dempster took on the top job with the League One outfit.
It's thought Kennedy is keen to take the plunge into management at some point.
He has now got plenty of experience under his belt and has ambitions of becoming his own man, but would Easter Road be the best option?
Betfair has Kennedy installed as 2/1 favourite while others such as Kevin Thomson and Scott Brown are possibilities at 4/1 and 6/1 respectively.
David Martindale in the Scottish Premiership already with Livingston is also on the list.
Full list of bookies' favourites:
John Kennedy: 2/1
Kevin Thomson: 4/1
David Martindale: 5/1
Scott Brown: 6/1
Ronny Deila: 8/1
Kjetil Knutsen: 10/1
Sabri Lamouchi: 12/1
Bob Bradley: 14/1
