John Kear waxed lyrical about Jarrod O'Connor as he admitted that he was hopeful of securing the Leeds Rhinos forward's services in the coming months.
O'Connor put in an eye-catching performance against the Bulls, who he is set to play for this season as part of a loan agreement between Bradford and his parent club.
He will play at Odsal alongside Corey Johnson and Muizz Mustapha, who also featured in the 30-12 win for Richard Agar's side. The trio will be made available to the Bulls when they are not required for Leeds' first-grade squad.
Kear praised the trio but particularly O'Connor, who shocked the Bulls boss with his performance.
"Jarrod O'Connor, bloody hell he does some work doesn't he," Kear said.
"O'Connor's work rate has blown me away to tell you the truth. In the first half, I thought we were playing six of him in their middle unit. He was very good and should Richard be OK with it we'll be looking to bring him in."
Meanwhile, Kear joked about Mustapha's impending arrival after he was sin-binned for an incident with Bulls winger Matty Dawson-Jones.
"I think Muizz Mustapha and Matty Dawson-Jones I'll have to act as a peacemaker with that one, but they're very good players, we know that, though I thought George Flanagan put his hand up to Corey Johnson and said you're not taking my spot.
"I think Leeds can be very happy with what they've seen. It shows they've got some emerging talent.
"We've just had a chat, Richard and myself in the corridor, I'll be giving him a ring in the early part of this week."
