John Fury held back by security after heated altercation with son's former rival

Tommy Fury's dad John was held back by security during a heated exchange with his son Tommy's former rival Anthony Taylor.

Fury will take to the ring in his latest professional outing when he takes on ex-Marine Corps Paul Bamba at the Coca Cola Arena on November 13. The British star attended a press conference to promote the event which saw his former conquered rival Anthony Taylor appear at the same media event to promote his upcoming clash with Jack Fincham on the same card.

Taylor was keen to antagonise Fury throughout his media duties as he previewed his upcoming outing on the card, which saw Fury Sr unhappy with his son's words being interrupted. The American star shouted: "I am fighting my guy Jack, I should be fighting Tommy Fury in the rematch. Come on you know that is not a match, you are fighting Bamba. We have unfinished business.

WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE

"You are a father and you pulled out twice. You should be fighting me, we would be the main event. Knock me out, I am an MMA fighter, let's go." Fury Sr then stood up and threatened to approach his son's former rival, before standing up and taking his jacket off as if to signal a physical altercation between the pair.

Luckily for the significantly smaller Taylor who sat on the back row, Fury Sr was held back by security who prevented anything serious from escalating on stage before sitting the famous father down and continuing with the media event. This is not the first time Fury Sr has become angered by his son's rival, including when he traded verbal barbs with Taylor's friend Jake Paul during a Zoom press conference last year.

The British star beat Taylor by decision last August on the undercard of Paul's clash with Woodley, as he looked to set up a clash with the YouTube star which has yet to materialise. Fury himself insisted he will focus on getting the job done against rival Bamba on fight night next weekend, and is uninterested in becoming embroiled with further feuds against the likes of Taylor.

"Like I said I am here to do a job, all this pure s*** these guys talk gives me a headache to be honest," Fury said at the press conference. "I have come out of the gym for this b*******, let me get this fight done and get on the first flight home. I have got a man up there who is begging for 5,000 views on the internet, I am a fighting man and just let me get in the ring.

"I am not interested in all this bull****, I have heard all this for two years now about Jake Paul and if we are not in the ring I don't give a shit. I am not interested I will fight him right now no problem because there is no-one in the country built like us. People can laugh but if you have the last name Fury you are in for a fight."
