The life and career of Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway will be the subject of a new documentary at Netflix.

Per Deadline, Netflix has greenlit Elway, a documentary from Skydance Sports about the legendary quarterback.
The documentary will follow Elway’s sensational career on the gridiron and his life off the field, including his transition into becoming an executive with the Denver Broncos. The Denver Broncos selected Elway with the No. 1 pick in the 1983 NFL Draft. Elway played his entire career in Denver, which spanned 16 seasons.
Elway finished with 51,475 yards passing, 300 touchdowns, and 226 interceptions. After searching for an elusive championship for most of his career, Elway won back-to-back Super Bowls during the 1997 and 1998 seasons to close out his career.
Elway won the 1987 NFL MVP and made the Pro Bowl nine times.
Elway was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2004. The iconic player is also a member of the College Football Hall of Fame for his time at Stanford.

Elway will be directed by Ken Rodgers, an executive producer on Hard Knocks. Rodgers recently helmed The New York Sack Exchange 30 for 30.
“John Elway’s career isn’t just iconic, it’s darn near mythological,” said Ken Rodgers in a statement. “His physical abilities, mental toughness and raw determination are the stuff of legend. We are all honored to partner with Netflix to tell the story of the man behind the legend.”
Rodgers is also an executive producer on Enigma: Aaron Rodgers, a Netflix docuseries about the current New York Jets quarterback. Enigma is now streaming.
Additional executive producers include David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, Jon Weinbach, Jamie Horowitz, Peyton Manning, Ross Ketover, Keith Cossrow, Jessica Boddy, and Brian Rolapp.
Producers include Jason Reed, Angus Wall, Terry Leonard, and Kent Kubena.
