John Bishop cancels US tour after motorbike accident

John Bishop United States

British comedian John Bishop has cancelled his upcoming October tour of the US and Canada following a motorcycle crash.
The stand-up broke his ankle in the accident and was advised by medical experts not to take long-haul flights while wearing a medical boot.
Bishop apologised to fans on social media, confirming that ticketholders will be contacted regarding potential rescheduled dates.
The injury had previously forced the comedian to withdraw from a charity bike ride with former Olympic cyclist Sir Chris Hoy.
Bishop, whose life story inspired the Hollywood film Is This Thing On?, is set to host the new BBC game show Wisdom of the Crowd.
