Los Angeles Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa didn’t hold back when talking about the refereeing of L.A.’s playoff exit on Saturday.
During Monday’s open locker room for the Chargers, Bosa sounded off when asked about his incredibly costly penalty during Los Angeles’ loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Bosa got flagged for taking off and slamming his helmet after what he felt was a missed call on a Jaguars touchdown play. The penalty yardage helped Jacksonville convert a two-point conversion and eventually play for a game-winning field goal.
Two days later, Bosa admitted that he’s got to maintain his cool in situations like that. He also ripped into what he thinks is a grossly unfair balance between NFL players and referees, using some colorful words in the process.

Well, tell ’em what you really think. Bosa clearly doesn’t have sunny feelings toward the NFL’s officiating crew, and lets them know that in no uncertain terms.
Bosa is one of the league’s star pass rushers, and the shield probably isn’t too happy about him being so critical of its referees. However, like players, refs are never above critiques. Bosa might get fined for this, but he’s probably happy to get this rant out of his system.
