Joey Barton Could Spend a Year on Remand After Bail Bid Fails Over Alleged Golf Club Attack

Former England midfielder Joey Barton faces spending a full year behind bars on remand after a judge at Liverpool Crown Court refused his renewed bid for bail over an alleged assault at a Merseyside golf club.

The 44-year-old, who denies causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Kevin Lynch, 51, is now set to remain in custody until at least March 2027.
