Newcastle United midfielder Joelinton has praised teammates Miguel Almiron and laid out plans for challenging for the Premier League after both men scored in the 3-0 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
Both the 26-year-old and Almiron has enjoyed rejuvenated careers at St. James' Park since manager Eddie Howe arrived at the club and the pair have played their best football in a black-and-white shirt over the course of this season.
With the addition of Bruno Guimaraes into the midfield, the Magpies have managed to go from 19th in the league table a year ago to second and among teams like Manchester City and league leaders Arsenal.

In his post-game interview yesterday, the Brazilian highlighted how good Almiron has been this season and emphasised how vital he is for the team.
"He's on fire and I'm really happy for him. We came back and have continued to score goals, and I hope he scores many more for us this season because he's a great guy.
"He's a great player, he works so hard and like I said, I'm happy that he scored today and long may it continue."
The pairing of Joelinton and Guimaraes has easily been one of the best decisions Howe has made since taking the role of Magpies head coach, with the compatriots quickly becoming fan favourites after their performances controlling the midfield in almost every encounter this season.
"Since he's been here, he's seen the support from the fans and he gives it back [with his performances] on the pitch," Joelinton said. "Every game, every training session, he gives everything, always 110% every game and I think that's why they love him.
"He's so important for the team and I'm very happy for him as well."
The form of the Magpies players has fans dreaming they can challenge for the Premier League title this season judging from the songs being sung after Joelinton's goal on Boxing Day.
But the Brazilian himself is being a bit more cautious, noting they know what they have to do to go all the way, even if he privately agrees with the fans.
"I hope so! We know what we have to do though, just continue this hard work, we have to be humble and keep both feet on the ground and work hard every day in training.
"We'll go game-by-game, and let's see what we can achieve by the end of the season."
