The Clash were one of the defining British punk bands, but by 1983 they were in disarray, with guitarist Mick Jones and drummer Topper Headon gone, replaced by a trio of unknown musicians. Three years and one ill-advised busking tour later it was all over, and this legendary band went out with a whimper, not a bang. In 2005, key members revealed what the hell really happened.
