Joe Rogan has jokingly suggested giving world leaders seven grams of psychedelic mushrooms and playing music to resolve their nuclear disagreements, but the unusual proposal comes from a man who has already influenced President Donald Trump's approach to psychedelic medicine.

During an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience featuring actor Michael Douglas on 14 October, the pair discussed whether Trump could persuade Russian President Vladimir Putin to reduce their countries' nuclear arsenals.
