Former Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon has had nothing but nice things to say since his trade to the Houston Texans.
That hasn’t changed with training camps starting to kick off around the league — but Mixon’s new comments are interesting.
Speaking with the media recently, Mixon had that usual enthusiasm when talking about his role with the Texans and how it compares to his past roles with the Bengals: “I know what type of player I am, and I’m not here to speak for everybody else, but in terms of me, I know for a fact as long as I’m in a great position to win it’s going to be night and day compared to how I was in Cincinnati.”
Bengals fans know Mixon’s positive approach well, so it will certainly be interesting to see how he fits into that fast-rising C.J. Stroud-led offense.
Mixon did see 210-plus carries in each of his last three seasons in Cincinnati and 64 or more targets in each of his last two, so if there are similar chances with the ball, perhaps his production could jump in a new offense.
