Joe Manganiello Open To True Blood Reunion, Seeks Werewolf Role

Joe Manganiello American actor

Joe Manganiello, known for his role as werewolf Alcide Herveaux in True Blood, has expressed his continued interest in reprising his iconic character. The actor, who played Alcide from 2010 to 2014, revealed his ongoing search for the right werewolf script, indicating that a True Blood reunion is always a possibility.

Despite Alcide meeting his demise in the final season of True Blood, Manganiello remains hopeful for another opportunity to portray the mythical creature. He mentioned that he believes there is more to explore in Alcide's story and expressed a desire for a fitting conclusion akin to Clint Eastwood's Unforgiven.

Manganiello's portrayal of Alcide garnered him a significant fan following, thanks to his character's compassionate nature and memorable shirtless scenes during wolf transformations. His character's relationship with lead character Sookie Stackhouse added depth to the show's narrative.

Reflecting on Alcide's fate in the series, Manganiello acknowledged the necessity of his character's tragic end to propel the storyline forward. He appreciated the suspenseful and unexpected nature of Alcide's exit, despite the emotional impact it had on fans.

Since his time on True Blood, Manganiello has diversified his career, starring in projects like the Magic Mike franchise and the upcoming series Moonhaven. He is set to host the debut season of Deal or No Deal Island, a unique twist on the classic game show.

Deal or No Deal Island introduces a fresh format where contestants navigate challenges on a jungle island while playing the familiar game of Deal or No Deal. The show promises a blend of strategy, suspense, and thrilling challenges as contestants compete for prize money.

Viewers can catch the premiere of Deal or No Deal Island on NBC on February 26 at 9:30 p.m. ET, with subsequent episodes airing on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET. All episodes will be available for streaming on Peacock the following day.
