Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has sent plenty of messages to his team and otherwise over the last week, with the playoffs essentially out of reach.
Burrow did so again before his team takes on the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night in Week 14.
“The playoffs are probably out of reach,” Burrow said. “but these reps are very valuable to prove you can be counted on (in Cincinnati) going forward.”
This echoes Burrow’s prior message from earlier in the week, making it clear that the locker room is about to find out who will put in the work during these last few weeks before changes made during the offseason.
Unfortunately for Burrow and the locker room, injuries won’t help. Evan McPherson is out and so is Logan Wilson. Offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. likely won’t be available this week, either.
