The subject of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s rank amongst his peers can end — for now.
Appearing at Fanatics Fest on Sunday, Peyton Manning ranked Burrow second overall only behind Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes when asked to rank his top five current passers.
“I’m a big fan of Joe Burrow. Glad to see him back and healthy,” Manning said. “I like the way he carries himself… He doesn’t sweat, he doesn’t flinch. He’s just kind of calm and cool the whole time.”
And who is anyone, really, to argue with Peyton Manning about passer rankings?
In Manning’s mind, Burrow currently ranks ahead of Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson, of the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills passer Josh Allen.
Those who have seen a healthy Burrow might have a hard time disagreeing at this point, though he’ll have to put in a quality 2024 campaign to retain the spot.
Either way, those seem to be the consensus top five for most fans right now, too. And Manning has declared where Burrow stands, which will give fans some ammo in debates.
