Joe Aribo says he can't wait for the next season to begin - despite the Rangers attacker breaking the 70-game barrier in term 2021/22.
The attacking midfielder's season is finally at an end after international duty with Nigeria came to a close on a thumping 10-0 victory against Sao Tome and Principe.
He was the only player in each of Europe's top leagues to play 70 games during one campaign after becoming an ever-present for Rangers in their run to the Europa League final in May and Scottish Cup final victory.
That was followed up by three matches for his country but he was given a deserved rest for the double digit thrashing on Monday.
Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst will call his troops in for pre-season training during the next few weeks but Aribo and Super Eagles teammate Calvin Bassey could be given more time to recover from international work.
That said, the former Charlton player is in no mood to let up.
He said on social media: "Grateful to have played 70 games this season, I just wanna thank God for getting me through it.
