Joe Allen is having a medical at Swansea City this morning with a view to sealing a permanent return to his boyhood club by the weekend.
The midfielder is a free agent following his exit from Stoke City earlier this summer. The Swans have long been admirers of the 32-year-old, with Russell Martin eager to bring the Welshman back home.
And he is set to be officially unveiled as a Swansea player once again in the next 24 hours. He is expected to sign a two-year contract with the club.
