Jodie Marsh's 'revenge' comeback to Phillip Schofield - SEVEN years after his Twitter snipe

Jodie Marsh has issued a blistering comeback to Phillip Schofield, seven years after they infamously clashed.

Phillip, 61, recently announced his dramatic exit from ITV after admitting he had an affair with a much younger member of the This Morning team, despite being married.

Despite the allegations, the former presenter had continually denied the claims before opening up, stating that he had lied to ITV, his legal team, his family and friends.

Since his departure from the network, several people have come forward claiming they believed it was a "toxic atmosphere" with sources telling the Mirror that people enjoyed Fridays when he wasn't in work.

Seven years after their clash, it appears that former model Jodie Marsh is relishing Phillip's downfall as she took to her Twitter page to issue a scathing comment.

Sharing a tweet posted on July 1, 2016, Phillip penned: "Next time I'll certainly check with @JodieMarsh that it's ok to ask the questions she was booked to talk about!"

The pair locked horns when Jodie revealed she felt uncomfortable discussing her plans to use a sperm donor to have children on the morning magazine show.

24 hours later, she stated she felt "hurt" and claimed that Phillip had been "obsessed with talking about sex and my exes".

Retweeting Phillip's tweet, Jodie penned: "Unfortunately for you Phil there won’t be a next time. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer man...."

Phillip announced he would be stepping down from all roles at ITV, including the British Soap Awards, Dancing On Ice and The Cube following his affair scandal.

But in a bid to clear his name, the presenter issued an unexpected statement following allegations he created a toxic atmosphere and insisted that people were holding grudges against him.

In a post on Instagram in view of his 2.9 million followers, Schofield wrote: "Now I no longer work on @thismorning I am free to say this. I hope you have noticed that it’s the same handful of people with a grudge against me or the show who seem to have the loudest voice.

"This Morning IS the best show to work on, with the best people. In all the years I worked there there was no toxicity. You can listen to those persistently loud voices if you like.

"But the thousands of guests over the years, thousands of staff and crew, hundreds of presenters and contributors all know, it IS a family of wonderful, talented, kind and hardworking people."
