Jodie Comer has shared an emotional post on social media after receiving career news.
The 29-year-old uploaded a selfie in which she appeared teary-eyed, to her millions of Instagram followers on Thursday. Jodie, from Childwall, rose to international stardom after playing Villanelle in Killing Eve.
The talented actress first had roles in My Mad Fat Diary, and played one of the most-hated women in Britain as Kate Parks in Doctor Foster.

Jodie also shone in her role in hard-hitting Scouse drama Help, where she played a young caregiver at a Liverpool care home during the coronavirus pandemic.
More recently, Jodie has swapped the screen for the stage, starring in Prima Facie on the West End. The one-woman play sees the Scouse starlet play a lawyer who specialises in defending men accused of sexual assault, until she is assaulted herself.
After huge success and rave reviews, the show is now going to Broadway. Sharing the news on Thursday, Jodie said: "I am so honoured to play a part in the telling of this story and beyond thrilled that next week isn’t the end.
"It means so much to see and hear so many of your positive responses. Thank you to all of you who have supported the show and a special shout out to those who have travelled thousands of miles, now it’s our turn.
"I love you Tess, we’re going to BROADWAY! Thank YOU @jrbierman you really are the best there is. X @estreetprods #primafacieplay".
Celebrity friends and fans alike were quick to support the star. American presenter and writer Josh Horowitz simply said: "YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!"
Actress Millie Brady said: "SO deserved!!!! [The] best news". Jane Epstein, the agent who Jodie was introduced to by Stephen Graham posted heart and applause emojis.
