Jock Zonfrillo’s wife has opened up about her ongoing struggle a month after losing her husband, the late MasterChef judge.

Breaking her silence after Zonfrillo’s shock death in a Melbourne hotel room, Lauren Fried said she thought she might have turned a corner by now.

“It’s been a month now since we lost Jock and I put a line in the sand thinking that at the one month mark I would turn some sort of a corner,” she said in a video on Jock’s Instagram account.

“Obviously that hasn’t happened.”

Thanking the public and fans for their support and messages, Ms Fried also posed a question about the way forward for the 46-year-old’s projects and social media.

The award-winning chef and popular TV personality had left behind several unfinished and completed projects, including a fashion range and TV show filmed in Italy.

Ms Fried – the mother of Zonfrillo’s two youngest children – admitted she did not know what to do with what remained of his work.

“Jock and I worked really hard on his social media and so I have to try to make a decision whether we keep it going or not”, she said.

“He had lots of projects he was working on – a lot that he had finished.

“I just don’t know what’s appropriate or what you guys want to see on here.

“He’s got a lot of behind-the-scenes interviews and photos from MasterChef, he’s got books, a fashion range, he’s got spirits ageing in a distillery in Tassie.

“He’s got a TV show he filmed in Italy last year with the family.

“I kind of am pondering what is appropriate or not. If I don’t really know what’s right, I’ll put a poll up on here and you guys can tell me yes or no.

“Somehow we’ll work out if there’s a path forward here or if we don’t do anything at all.”

Ms Fried said she wished Zonfrillo could see the love pouring in from around the world.

“There’s no time that I could allocate to say thank you to everyone,” she said.

“I just am overwhelmed by the messages that came in from people all over the world who knew him or didn’t know him.

“I wish he knew how loved he was and he knew the impact that he had on so many people.”

Channel Ten decided to air the 15th season of MasterChef a week after Zonfrillo’s death, with the support of his family.

It had been due to premiere on the same day police discovered the host unresponsive in a Lygon Street hotel while his family was in Italy.
