Joc Pederson brought receipts from his fantasy football dispute with Tommy Pham and it’s all so amazing

I don’t know if you’ve been keeping up with this wild story over the weekend but the silliest of baseball disputes has been going on and it led to Cincinnati Reds outfielder being suspended for slapping Joc Pederson over a fantasy football disagreement that happened in the 2020 NFL season.

For real. I’m not kidding!

Here’s what happened, per Pederson: Pham and Pederson were in a fantasy football league together and Pederson had a player on IR and Pham called him out for cheating but Pederson said he was following the rules of their league and was doing nothing wrong by keeping the player on his roster in the IR category.

Pham confronted Pederson in the outfield before Friday’s game and slapped him in the face.

I know, that is a crazy thing to read. It’s even sillier to listen to:

Here’s video of the altercation:

Pham also provided his side of things. He talked about some disrespectful things Pederson said about the Padres, who Pham was playing for during the fantasy football dispute, and how those things on top of the fantasy football stuff really made him angry. There’s some bad language in this video so if that’s not your thing then don’t hit play!

Amazing. This is all just the best.

Well, after last night’s game Pederson brought receipts from their group texts:

This is all so incredible. A fantasy football dispute between two professional athletes and a silly GIF in a group chat has led to the most ridiculous baseball story of the season.

I love it. I love all of it.
