Joao Felix drops Chelsea future hint as he admits uncertainty with Atletico Madrid decision looming

Joao Felix has opened up on his Chelsea ahead of the summer transfer window after admitting that 'nobody knows' where his future will lie come.

Felix joined Atletico Madrid as a young player for a fee worth north of £110million, but under the structured playing style of Diego Simeone, he has yet to properly kick on in the Spanish capital in front of goal, scoring 25 league goals in 96 La Liga games. He has impressed in other areas and won their Player of the Season award last campaign.

But after CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin stated his intentions to sell Felix in the near future, a loan spell to Chelsea followed where he has been thrown in as one of the Blues' main attackers. With a move away from Atletico on the potential horizon, he has claimed that nobody knows about his future whilst also calling the side managed by Graham Potter 'a big, amazing club.'

Felix said ahead of Chelsea's game vs Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday: "I think the future, no one knows. Now I am just focused on tomorrow’s game and after that, we don’t know what will happen.

"The club is so big is amazing, everyone behind the club is so good so I am happy to be here. I'm here at Chelsea to play, to help the team and club win trophies, I just fight for that, to win trophies.

"I'm on loan, but the time I am here I want to help, play, score and win”.

Chelsea welcome Dortmund to Stamford Bridge for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League tie in midweek, trailing 1-0 on aggregate thanks to Karim Adeyemi's solo strike in the first leg.
