Joao Felix will not return to Chelsea as part of Mauricio Pochettino's squad next season. The Portuguese forward spent the second half of the season on loan at Stamford Bridge under Graham Potter and Frank Lampard.
The 23-year-old made 20 appearances in total for Chelsea, scoring four times. football.london understands he loved his time in London and was keen on staying beyond the expiry of his contract.
However, Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo confirmed earlier this week he wouldn't be returning to Chelsea next season. "We've been informed that Pochettino does not count with Joao Felix for Chelsea," he said.
