The international break is almost over and it has not been a great week for some of the Crystal Palace players involved.
The Eagles have six first-team players away on international duty at the moment but only Denmark defender Joachim Andersen has featured in the UEFA Nations League so far. Unfortunately, the Danes narrowly missed out on a place in the finals after relinquishing top spot following a 2-1 defeat in Croatia.
Andersen played the full 90 minutes of the fixture in Zagreb and again for Denmark’s 2-0 win against France in Copenhagen last night (Sunday). However, Croatia’s 3-1 win in Vienna against bottom side Austria means the Danes finished second in their group.

Marc Guehi was not included in the 23-man England that lost 1-0 against Italy at the San Siro on Friday. The defeat to the Azzurri means the Three Lions finished bottom of Group A3 and are therefore relegated to League B.
The Palace defender, who made his England debut in March and has three caps so far, could be in contention to feature in England’s final UEFA Nations League game. They take on Germany at Wembley on Monday night with kick-off at 7.45pm.
Palace had three first-team players involved in international action for African nations. Eagles top scorer Wilfried Zaha played 81 minutes of Ivory Coast’s 2-1 win against Togo in France.
Zaha now has 28 international caps for the Elephants to his name and is expected to feature in their final friendly fixture on Tuesday night against Guinea at the Stade de la Licorne in Amiens, France.
Summer signing Cheick Doucoure was in action for Mali on Friday night. The Palace midfielder played 63 minutes of their 1-0 win against Zambia. Both sides will meet again on Monday night.
Jordan Ayew and Ghana were on the receiving end of a 3-0 battering against Brazil. Tottenham Hotspur forward scored a brace after Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos opened the scoring.
Ayew’s appearance on Friday night was his 82nd t for his country and the Palace forward could earn his 83 rd cap against Nicaragua on Tuesday night.
Malcolm Ebiowei was called up to the England U20s squad for fixtures against Chile and Morocco. The Palace youngster played in both fixtures, coming on as a substitute in the 3-0 against Chile before playing the full 90 minutes of the 2-1 win over Morocco.
