CHANDIGARH: The chairperson of the Haryana Women's Commission, Rena Bhatia, has called for police and education department officials to appear before her following a delay in filing an FIR in a case of alleged sexual assault at a government senior secondary girl's school in Jind district.
The Haryana government suspended the school principal after several minor girls wrote a detailed letter to the Chief Justice of India, President, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Haryana Governor, Education Minister, and other authorities. However, despite the seriousness of the matter involving a minor girl, no legal action has been taken. As a result, the Women's Commission expressed its concern and demanded a comprehensive report from police and education department officials.
