Thursday, the late-night host didn’t hold back, accusing Trump of escalating political tensions rather than attempting to bring people together after the tragic event.
Kimmel pointed out Trump’s history of inflammatory remarks, recalling instances where he suggested Second Amendment supporters take action against political opponents, joked about shooting “fake news” reporters, and even implied Liz Cheney should face severe consequences for supporting his rival. Despite this past, Kimmel highlighted that Trump was quick to blame Democrats and their rhetoric for Kirk’s murder.
