Jimmy Carr has come under fire this week for his sickening Holocaust 'joke in his Dark Materials Netflix special.
Many fans are calling for him to freshen up his humour like he has his appearance over the last year.
The 49-year-old has made various tweaks to his looks and has had botox, fillers and his teeth done to try to look fresh faced.
According to The Mirror, he confessed: "I’ve gone a bit crazy with it, I’ve got the new teeth and the new hair – I’ve had a proper midlife crisis. Like, right, let’s get everything done."
The funnyman even joked that his face is just like Trigger's ever-changing road sweeper broom in hit comedy Only Fools and Horses, which famously had 17 new heads and 14 new handles.
Here is a look at how Jimmy transformed his look.
Botox and filler
Jimmy has revealed he got botox after feeling he looked better on TV than he does in real life.
"I’ve had a little bit of Botox, some filler – everything I can get done," he said on Gabby Logan's The Mid-point podcast.
"My face is now like Trigger’s broom from Only Fools And Horses, very little of the original is still there."
But the comedian insists it's not about changing his actual face, just keeping what he already has the same.
He said: "Maintaining is the thing, I don't think there's anything you can do plastic surgery wise, or augmentation wise, that makes you look better, you can just sort of stay the same, that's what you can hope for."
Although he did have an awkward encounter with the person who does Simon Cowell's procedures.
"I was seeing a guy, getting a bit of Botox, and I was chatting to him and he said, 'Oh I do Simon Cowell,' and I went, 'Yeah I think I better leave'," he joked.
"'What have you done . . . he looks like a melted candle'."
Hair transplant
Jimmy explained he had the hair transplant procedure after worrying he was beginning to resemble a "snooker-playing vampire".
Despite joking he wanted to use his pubic hair for the procedure, Jimmy used a graft from his own hair after telling the surgeon he wanted to look like "an Armenian cab driver".
He first showed off his new looks on BBC football show Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer in June last year - with presenter Maya Jama pointing out he looked different.
Jimmy explained: "I tell you what I did, I went and had a hair transplant. I kind of had a look of a snooker-playing vampire.
He joked his hair was "socially distancing" from his forehead and he'd had enough of it.
"I shaved my head and what they do is take hairs from the back of your head and they put them on the front," he said.
"Basically I had enough hair, it was just in the wrong place. It was a bit of redistribution."
Bright white teeth
One thing that really stands out now is Jimmy's glistening teeth.
"I've had a lot of work done. I got my teeth knocked out and put back in," he said at the Just For Laughs festival.
The comedian transformed during an epic three-day sitting shortly after lockdown ended in 2020
He revealed he was in the chair for a back-breaking 24 hours for the first two days during which the dentist gave him "rohypnol" causing a "dream-like haze".
"My cosmetic journey started about 10 years ago – that’s more than veneers I would say," he explained on Gabby Logan's The Mid-Point podcast.
"I got my teeth done, that’s the first thing I had done, they’re more than veneers. I got every tooth in my head done in one sitting,’ he explained.
"I did 12 hours in the chair the first day, then 12 hours the second, it was like a three day thing where you’ve got temporary things on, but it was pretty full on.
"I think they gave me Rohypnol – that type of drug – intravenously into the vein and you’re kind of out of it and they do everything and you’re fine. It’s a dream-like haze, you’re in a weird space."
