Jimmy Carr 's management team had to promise a city council that he won't tell any of the controversial jokes from his Netflix special at an upcoming gig.
The comedian is set to perform in Cambridge this week after causing outrage with jokes about genocide in his special His Dark Material, filmed for the streaming platform.
A representative for the city council explained that the gigs at the Cambridge Corn Exchange on February 16 and March 30 were booked in before Jimmy's controversial comments were met with backlash, but that the star's management has promised he won't repeat them on stage.
