Michigan Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh was soaking in the team’s College Football Playoff national championship victory against the Washington Huskies on Monday night, and he delivered a peculiar comment during his on-field postgame interview after the win.
With blue and gold confetti pouring down around him, Harbaugh dropped a funky remark about the confetti, saying that each individual piece tells a story.
“It’s pretty great. You watch this confetti come down, it’s like thousands of confetti. It tells a story. There’s a story in every one of those pieces of confetti. Amazing blue confetti. Just so proud of our team,” Harbaugh said to ESPN’s Holly Rowe.
“To quote J.J. McCarthy: Bet.”

Harbaugh’s appreciation for the confetti didn’t go unnoticed among college football fans watching the broadcast, and they had plenty of jokes for the 60-year-old’s bizarre interview.

That was his series arc. His one-armed man
He wasn't driven by winning a National Title. That was fake. He did it for the confetti. pic.twitter.com/bhIniB37Dx

Some people gotta leave the poetry to poets.
personally i do not think there is a story in every piece of confetti but I did not go 15-0 and win the national championship myself
