Jim Goodwin admits something along the lines of how Scotland triumphed over Spain would do for his Dundee United side at Ibrox.
The Arabs go in to Saturday's clash with Rangers at the bottom of the table and without a win in league action since the first game of 2023 against St Johnstone. Goodwin replaced Liam Fox at the beginning of March in a bid for the axed Aberdeen boss to stave off relegation at Tannadice. But the Tangerines haven't managed a win since the Irishman's arrival but did avoid defeat in their previous two.
The task at hand seems daunting with Michael Beale still undefeated in the league as Gers boss but Goodwin believes he can look at Steve Clarke's blueprint for the national side as motivation for how his Tangerines side can approach the game.

He said: "I thought Scotland were so well organised, so disciplined. They worked extremely hard without the ball and still offered attacking threat.
"They counter-attacked Spain on numerous occasions, pressed them high up the pitch at the right times, then fell back in to their deep shape at the right moment.
"So something along those lines would be perfect for us [he smiled]. That's a hell of a lot easier said than done."
