Jim Furyk is set to return as captain of the US Ryder Cup team for the 2027 matches in Ireland, as the Americans aim to reverse three decades of European dominance, The Associated Press understands.

Furyk would become only the fourth US captain since the modern era of the Ryder Cup began in 1979, when continental Europe joined, to lead the team again.
