Jim Ervin has made a sensational return to Ballymena United after he was appointed as the club's new manager.
The Sky Blues had been on the lookout for a new boss following David Jeffrey's departure from The Showgrounds following their Irish Cup final defeat to Crusaders at the start of the month.
Ervin had been frontrunner for the post having played for and captained United under Jeffrey.

The 37-year-old spent seven years at Warden Street before making the switch to Carrick Rangers in the summer of 2021.
Ervin made 277 appearances winning the League Cup and County Antrim Shield.
Warren Feeney and Kenny Shiels were also linked with the role, but Ervin's appointment is a bold move by the Ballymena board as it is a first foray into management for the former Linfield man.
The news has gone down well amongst the Sky Blues fans.
