Hollywood fans of Jim Carrey and Sonic the Hedgehog have reason to rejoice as it has been confirmed that Carrey will be reprising his role as Dr. Robotnik in the upcoming video game sequel, Sonic the Hedgehog 3. According to Variety, Carrey will once again don the mustache and bring his comedic genius to the portrayal of the mad scientist.
Carrey first portrayed the iconic villain in the first Sonic the Hedgehog movie released in 2020. However, it wasn't until the end of the film that audiences saw the full transformation of Carrey into the bald-headed, mustachioed Dr. Robotnik that fans know and love. Directed by Jeff Fowler, the film followed Sonic's journey into the human world, where he teams up with a town sheriff to thwart Dr. Robotnik's evil plans.
