Australia's quest for a fourth consecutive Women's Rugby League World Cup has started with a bang courtesy of a 40-0 victory over Fetu Samoa.

Unbackable favourites leading into the tournament opener, the Jillaroos overcame an ill-disciplined opening 10 minutes to shut out Samoa in the seven-try rout.
