The Manchester United and Manchester City heroes who starred in England Women's Euro 2022 success have been recognised for their historic achievement as they were crowned Team of the Year at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year (SPOTY) awards.
The Lionesses brought home the country's first senior international tournament trophy since 1966. A sell-out Wembley Stadium saw City attacker Chloe Kelly score an extra-time winner in the final against Germany.
Arsenal's Beth Mead - who finished as the tournament's top scorer with six goals - was crowned the winner of the main accolade, going down as 2022's Sports Personality of the Year.

England head coach Sarina Wiegman was handed Coach of the Year. Her side are currently 26 games unbeaten having qualified for the 2023 World Cup with a 100 per cent record.
United striker Ella Toone - who found the opening goal for the hosts in the Euro 2022 final - was pictured at the SPOTY awards ceremony, as was Reds teammate Alessia Russo, who scored four goals in England's campaign.
I'm A Celebrity winner and Queen of the Jungle Jill Scott, who retired after the tournament, was snapped on the red carpet alongside fellow retiree and ex-City striker Ellen White.
Former Blues colleague Lauren Hemp was also at the event alongside United goalkeeper and Lionesses number one Mary Earps.
Gary Lineker and Alex Scott, back fresh from World Cup coverage, hosted the event with Gabby Logan and Clare Balding also anchoring the night.
